State Senator Larry Obhof Receives Ohio Chamber of Commerce PAC Endorsement
COLUMBUS- State Senator Larry Obhof (R-Medina) was endorsed today by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (OCCPAC) for the March 15 primary election.
“I am proud to have the support of Ohio’s job creators,” said Obhof. “Over the past five years I have worked hard to improve our economy and get Ohioans back to work -- and it is working. Jobs numbers are up, and unemployment is down, but that's just the start. We need to build on this momentum and keep Ohio moving in the right direction."
The OCCPAC evaluates a candidate’s commitment to improving Ohio’s business climate based upon their legislative voting record, an issue questionnaire, personal meetings with candidates, and input from local business leaders.
As a member of the Ohio Senate, Larry Obhof has focused on improving Ohio’s economy and lowering taxes, including repealing the death tax and supporting across-the-board income tax cuts for all Ohio taxpayers. In total, Senator Obhof has supported $5 billion in tax cuts -- among the largest in the country. During that span Ohio has added 400,000 jobs and has seen its unemployment rate fall by nearly half. In 2013, Senator Obhof was named the "Guardian of Small Business" by NFIB Ohio in recognition of his efforts to improve Ohio's economy.
Senator Obhof resides in Medina with his wife Nicole and their three daughters.
